I at first wasn't much of what to expect from the medical system and such etc, but being in and out of the hospital from time to time and with my condition I now have and accepted it, I am fairly ok with what is being diagnosed by or suggested by the medical system and my doc, I don't feel like there's anything when I go and see her or anyone else in her place, It's a. A ok process when it comes to me and I have to go to 6 month check up, I am not say uneasy about the check up or what they… read more

I have an awesome Neuro and actually look forward to seeing him. I will see him this month and hope to tell him I have not had a seizure. He perhaps already knows that because ever time I had a seizure I send him a message via MyChart.

I don’t mind my dr appointment. But it’s an hour or more depending on traffic. Then the appointment can be an hour so that is annoying. The one part that I don’t like is when he checks my arm strength and leg strength. That part stinks bcse it is kinda disconcerting. But I’m glad when it is over.

I love the doctor i have now my previous doctor was going to another System she said the offer was just too good to refuse plus she'd have more time with her family. She referred me to my current doctor. They are so much alike in the way they practice medicine to mannerisms and personality. So it's no wonder I was happy before and am still happy with my doc. I have in my adult life been through a whole bunch of Neurologist and Epitologists. Some were good some were ok some were horrible luckily I've only run across 2 horrible ones. 1st is the head of neurology at a major hospital. He decided that I was having all pseudo seizures. I fired him. Went to another doctor different hospital and had a veeg with a bad seizure on video. Plus told again that I have lots of seizure activity in my brain that the meds are keeping me from having seizures. The other bad one was the one who took his place when he moved up north. Also being a professor and big into epilepsy studies loved by history and wanted me to go into every drug experiment they had. When I kept refusing because the doctor before her put in a VNS and put me on a combo of meds that was working quite well. I didn't want to rock the boat. So when I called her office after having a bad seizure which I was told to do I never got a response. I wrote to them on line still no response. Called and talked to the appointment desk and it would be 6 months before I could see her though I had an earlier appt set up that was no longer there. I said never mind I'm going to find a real doctor. Which I did. So except for 2 I've had no problems with going to my Neurologist and have had good relationships always seeing them anywhere from 3 to 6 months depending on what my seizures were doing.
