I had to be life flighted away in a helicopter when I was born. Doctors didn’t believe I was going to live. I also was life flighted away before I was 2 years old. What would you be thinking if this was your baby?

Thank you for responding and the thoughts. The last my mom saw me I wasn’t breathing and was blue so I’m sure she was terrified. My parents have been at the hospital every time I’ve had surgery or just an appointment. They have to drive despite I’m over 40 years old now. I still live with them so they watch everyone of my seizures. Thank you for the thoughts and feelings.
I myself cannot be empathetic to this scenario, because I have never experienced it. My opinion of how one might feel in this situation is ... that they would be completely flabbergasted and gobsmacked! I believe Mary Poppins said the word to use in a moment like that is, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"!!!🤗😋👍
i should have typed "your parents". My typing is not as good as it was. LOL
I think I would be terrified, but also grateful that the service was available for my child.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member,
I understand, my dad is 82 years old. I live on disability, so yeah I get the tight financial situation. The positive side of this is that I learned years ago how to manage my finances. Unfortunately my savings are gone, but I managed what I have. I don’t see a vehicle in the near future, but that may come in time. I’m thankful that you have the support you have. Learn as much as you can and save your money as much as possible. You can do anything you set your mind towards. It’s only a matter of “Keep moving forward “. And don’t give up.
I don’t mind sharing my hopes or my concerns with others. Sharing who we are and what we are going through & what we have been through has a positive impact. Sometimes it can be negative, but when we share, we reveal ourselves to be human and not some cookie cutter robot /AI.
Each of us are the same in a way. We all bleed, have feelings and organs …. And make mistakes . Sure we look and act differently but we all make our own choices.
I choose to be myself and not anyone else. I’ve been down that road and it is a very difficult and confusing place to be.
Be the best You, you can be. There isn’t anyone quite like you.
Have a wonderful and blessed seizure free day.
