It does help. It can make a big difference for many. I was on six medicines for my epilepsy and the VNS.

The Neurostimulator (RNS) has probably showed the most improvement. I used to have 1 or 2 seizures per month. Now I very rarely have a 2 seizure month. I also can send my doctors seizure information every day with the RNS.

The VNS never did disturb my sleep. In my case it wasn’t worth getting. We never saw any improvements in my seizures and it was aggravating so I had another surgery getting the VNS removed. Others have had luck though. I’ve had seizures for over 30 years with no solution.
