Are his seizures controlled? Mine are controlled with meds but if I miss a dose I will have a seizure in the next few days. When I know that I have been taking my medication regularly as prescribed, I swim, drive and kayak with my daughter. But I’m 55.

I have had seizures almost my whole life and each year I went swimming. Yes it’s better to have supervision. Get a float.
For this decision just listen to your gut.

It's dif per person, I think that you can get people's opinions on this, which is ok, but I think taking after you decide what to do and take preventative measures to prevent any accidents from happening, my opinion

My Uncle and Aunt had a pool . My mom and I would visit often . If there wasn’t any one in the pool area , my aunt and uncle would ask me to use arm floaters.. if I didn’t , I would have to get out..

By the age of 14 or 15 yrs. My mom and I were living near a little beach . My neighbor friends and I would go to this little beach and swim during the summer. My mom probably still got a little nervous, but felt comfort , just as long as I was with friends.

As long as someone else is in the pool too he should be safe. Or he could wear a life jacket while swimming around. I fell in a pond having a seizure and nearly drown but my grandpa jumped in and rescued me
