I took Depakote for about 2 years. Didn't help the seizures but I gained 55 lbs, which I was told was one of the side effects of the drug. I was glad to get off of it.

I think it's dif per person, I am also on that med, It does have 20 dif side effects I looked up online and found out, but what effects me may not have the effects of another person, I have had a few times I do take naps here and there, I am on another med also with my condition, levetiracetam and that has 20 side effects also, I get a a tiny bit of them but not many, I have gotten used to the effects that do come about, but I handle accordingly and not a prob with, my opinion.
