Worrying myself to death as my son recently had a seizure due to unknown causes. I have photosensitivity epilepsy

I was the only person who has had seizures all my life. Mine was caused by the doctor using forceps to pull me out. My son has never had seizures.

Yes, it is frequently inherited by next generations in a family. But it’s not guaranteed, and as you said, some people do grow out of them as they get older.

Thank you for your reply. Perhaps it can be inherited depending on the type of epilepsy. We have been referred to a specialist team so just waiting for an appointment and more answers.

It may be possible, I'm not sure, my mom had it and I had two other brothers and a sister, and my dad, I was the only one who had the condition of epilepsy, my mom condition she had went away. My opinion here
