Could My Seizures Started Earlier Than I Thought. I Started To Sweat A Lot At 16. I Experienced BO. Is Seizures The Reason?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

At 16 years old, I was being sexually abused and started to sweat a lot underarms. I tried everything. What is this I hear about seizures and BO. Please don't tell me that is the reason I couldn't feel clean.

It is the scent of the forming of a seizure forming which a service alert dog, that can give warning of seizures, uses to recognize them. Also, yes epilepsy is a disorder of electrical activity in the brain that sends out approximately 40 different disorganized electrical impulses known as seizuresd. The brain is what controls everything the human body does.

No. Sweating has nothing to do with Epilepsy. Your physical body has nothing to do with Epilepsy. It is in your brain where Epilepsy is connected with.

It’s possible , that you didn’t know of your Epilepsy during an earlier date.

But, it’s also possible that that you may of got sick with a high fever, may of severely bumped your head or hit it many different time and there are other ways of being diagnosed with epilepsy

Sorry to hear that! It is pretty common for people to be diagnosed then be told its likely it was most likely going a few years before the seizure that caused the diagnosis. In terms of it happening long, long term, I'm not sure on that.
