I know it's a noninvasive way of measuring brain activity to potentially find the epileptogenic zone. Just wondering if anyone has actually done it and was it helpful for your treatment? Thanks!
I had one done about 8 years or so, and they discovered that I have epilepsy in two areas of the brain, which my Neurologists had never seen before in a patient, only read it in a magazine.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I will let you know how it goes. I'm getting one done on Wednesday. I'm hoping it can better pinpoint the location of my seizures. My EMU stay last month, wasn't able to pinpoint the exact location of my seizures. All three of my seizures they were able to record were different in appearance.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I did it last month and I might be the outlier but I liked the MRI better haha.
The reason being my head is on the larger end of the spectrum so there wasnโt room for my neck to rest on. On the plus side, itโs a silent machine.
I have, but I have had sooooooo many tests I don't remember what is what other than the regular eeg ๐ the more advanced stuff I forget what they are like. I wish I could be more help, but all I can say is don't be scared. It may be time consuming but not scary.๐
I have the same question, too!
