Such as feeling bad about yourself or having a bad day.

I get depressed because of my seizures coming and not knowing. I have something sort of stress seizures so I overwhelm myself emotionally, mentally, and times physically. My upbringing caused me to have PTSD so I have to see a therapist for them to release my stress to calm my seizures. Find something you enjoy. I like drawing, reading and sudoku. Keep positive and find something you enjoy.

No, but Connor try not to feel bed about yourself. There is no reason to feel bad about yourself. Just because we have this disease we can still feel good about ourselves and have good days. Yes, it is an adjustment but we can do it, we have to do it.
Try and take care.

I noticed that a lot of my seizures have been triggered by stress. For instance I had a big seizure when I had a family member pass. And I didn’t even see that make so much of an impact on me.

But just woke up in the hospital with my mouth chewed up and my mom told me if I remembered any of it. To me it felt like I had a long tiring day and just woke up. So for me I believe a depression would be an opportunity for a seizure to sneak in.

So what I do is keep my mind busy with things that will uplift me and help encourage me. And try to stay away from negative things happening.

Depression many times causes anxiety, and anxiety and stress can definitely cause seizures. And depression is a symptom of epilepsy, I experience it sometimes as well. Keep your head up Connor2, think about the good things in your life, even just a roof over your head :) stay strong

An epileptic seizure is not from the mind so cant be brought on nor thought away. A non- epileptic one similar to panic attack from mind can be far worse. Once had one big diff was it wouldnt abate had to go to hospital. Told was a one time thing or me from hubby's funeral prev week.Reg seizures come & go but not this type. An EEG shows no change in brain waves if non-epileptic. Ask Dr to ease mind best way bout yours.
