I have the option to be evaluated for a clinical trial. They would inject brain cells into my hippocampus. I would have to be on immunosuppressive medications for a year after. All three options are scary. But patching with stem cells seems like it might be the most rewarding.
I had brain surgery in 1990 and I was awake and talking to my doctor while he was operating on me so he knew what to take out and what to leave in. He found out that my speech was in the area that he was operating on. Today I'm able to talk.
Had so many I pass out in exactly 10 minutes.
I'm the opposite my seizures are less when sleeping. I pass out when I am awake and they trigger.
I had 30-40 seizure events while over the course of 3 days while I was wired up for an EEG. Those were the mild ones I had hardly any idea I was having....I had a seizure right before I was wired up and on video too.. They can be somewhat mild when I am awake. They can also be quite violent. The ones in my sleep tend to be worse.
I don't think I've heard of this. I have seen the new Lazer thing though which is basically just a temporal lobectomy done with a Lazer.
