New Epilepsy Meds: How Long Does It Take To Adjust? Read Article...

Please don't fall for any natural remedies Ads. By "Drs" who claim they can cure anything. For years people tried all kinds of herbs, opiates, mushrooms etc but no luck.Like Lewis Carroll's earthworm in Alice in Wonder inspired by his own seizures. Poor guy died an alcoholic- his final choice. You may not realize how well your meds are working. Any seizures would be much worse w/o them.

Thanks for your thoughts. I’ve developed focal onset seizures out of the blue in 2017, am presently on zonisamide, one more med that is NOT working. I’d give up entirely if I didn’t see how much damage the seizures are doing to my brain, especially memory. Out of desperation on what to do next, I’m on a wait list to see a natural path who hopefully can help to make sense of my seizures and asthma. I even came out of retirement of 10 yrs to go back to work 2 days a week for my old school dept in hopes that I’d need to use my brain more and that would help but it hasn’t worked that way!

A seizure interfered with brain function so unable to think, talk, move for a bit. Then it passes brain back on track so reality returns. Now remind self you know why it's over & you're fine. Imagine if like years ago before epilepsy known bout how you'd feel. Ease mind bout seizures be glad we now why with meds to help now. Try to shake it off like a bad dream you woke up from too.

Boy I don’t know what to say. probably because I can’t understand half of what comes out of me. I make up words all the time to try and say what I’m thinking. after I usually say “What the heck did I just say”
