A lot of of this is based on Fear. Some is also, not wanting to understand Epilepsy.

These people who don’t want to understand or care , have no clue, that they too can possibly get diagnosed with Epilepsy too. Going from an normal life to a hard challenging life. Everything they took for granted is gone. They would have to find an alternative way to live their life.

We just cannot let our family and friends depend on our personality and who we are and what we have to live everyday.

My husband knew what he was getting into, he saw me have my worst seizure. Nowadays he does get frustrated when it takes a beat to catch up mentally. And he does get frustrated when I can't remember things. That is why I carry a date book everywhere now. @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member - I understand your comment and agree with everything you said. I was at a church potluck and was talking about my epilepsy, because who doesn't like a good epilepsy story? A woman came up to me crying afterward and I realized I had done it this time. She was crying because her son had epilepsy and she had never heard anyone talk about having epilepsy. I almost started crying myself.
