Anxiety , Depression, Anger, all forms of Stress and other Negative emotions, can cause seizures triggers. That’s a fact life living with Epilepsy.

My guess is that is a possibility. From my understanding depression happens when the chemicals in a person’s brain 🧠 are not correctly balanced, that is why people take medication. Anxiety is a trigger for seizures-when I was in college during finals week the level of tension and anxiety got higher. So I started to have more seizures. I think having epilepsy makes it easier for the level of anxiety to grow larger. When a person is under pressure mixed emotions come up. I think having epilepsy makes people’s nervous systems more sensitive. Depression and anxiety are triggers for seizures.

Being diagnosed with epilepsy can bring on anxiety and depression, but if you do not already have it, then don't give it a thought.

It is very common to have anxiety or depression after being diagnosed with epilepsy because it's a drastically lifestyle change with no actual cure just bandaids. My providers always encourage therapy as soon as they diagnose a patient.

My thoughts exactly. Trouble is , my last doctor refused to prescribe an antidepressant that another neurologist thought necessary for people with epilepsy.
