I have anxiety and sometimes have panic attacks that seem to get worse when I am in a public place ( find it difficult in crowded places ) which always causes me to have seizure how do you handle them
JackLaverty yeah I get a fear sensation that happens all the time, I will keep that in mind
If it's random anxiety like a fear sensation that happens a lot then this is may be focal-aware seizures if you have TLE.
Eliminate whatever is causing the anxiety. Anti-anxiety medications can sabotage the effectiveness of your seizure control medications. Do you enjoy walking regularly? Any hobbies?
Try a new approach to your situation. Concentrate on a solution to the stress. I say this because I had one goal after surgery and that was to go five years seizure-free. Every so often I would get a feeling that felt like the start of a seizure. I would get stressed out and increase the feeling all the way to the last week of the first five years.
Then I took the new approach. Instead of stressing out, I played the positive side and told myself, "If this is a seizure, it will have to happen before I start worrying about it.". Without the stress, the feelings were less frequent and much easier to control.
I know my situation is different but sometimes it has the same solution.
My son Joshua battles in crowded places and then often has a sezuire.
He tells me not managing and we either sit in the car until he calms down.
