Kris5 you have to apply for disability through health and welfare.you could probably receive food stamps too.that you reply for that through health and welfare too.there's also something called cash assistance which you can only use for non food products.I think that goes through health and welfare too.can you have ur groceries delivered to you?I live in Idaho and there's a transportation service called access van service.on this service you have to pay $ 3.00 one way.check with health and welfare and ask if they know of any trans.services that you would qualify for. Good luck.you have to just call around.also there's (at least here)a service called LIHEAP that's an energy assistance program that if you qualify for it according to your monthly income you will get assistance for lights.it will pay for your lights for several months according to how your light bill is it could pay for a few months or longer.hope some of this info is useful for you
Ask for a ride if available, bus is an option, but I walk mostly, my opinion,
Kris, two thoughts. Here is a list of food delivery in your city for no charge food (I believe). We often deliver (my wife) through a church and Meals on Wheels.
Contact local churches and ask too-they want to help.

Are you eligible for disability? I get $600 a month and $291 for food every month
Definitely look into disability benefits. They can be a godsend
