In Generlized Tonic-clonic Seizures Does It Also Affect Your Legs ?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had about 4 generlized tonic-clonic seizures last night wasn't expecting it as my seizures have minimised these few months but this time it was alot more severe and it included my legs usually it's just my arms that do most during a tonic clonic seizure it was a first to involve my legs .
I've watched a recorded video of last night's seizure .

yes... and heres why. your arms are up down left and right.arm movement is 20 + single thing. legs movements only do up and down. your leg moments only knows 5-7 things. and there is a posability that the legs were so fast/slow that you didn't notice.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, During a Grand Mal (Tonic Clonic Seizure), the legs along with the entire body always goes into a jerking motion once you've fallen on the floor ! Some people fall immediently on the Ground, while some others like me will have 1 to 2 minutes before the Legs give out & FALL down to the Ground... The one advantage of having a bit of time to place yourself on the ground before you fall, LESS Chance of Banding your HEAD on the Ground comparing to FALLING..... YESS! The Legs Do Go NUTS, then your entire Body is Next ...

It's interesting yesterday I asked the neuro to help me with trying to find the root of my seizures. He responded by referring me to a seizure specialist/neurologist instead of placating w/ drugs. I was really upset. He just aided and abetted my opinion of neurologists. I'm now suffering w/ humming in my ear since my last big seizure! Life isn't so good any more. Thank God for my Wife or I would part company w/ this world!

Years ago, I posted that upon reading a book on epilepsy, when I started working at Massachusetts General Hospital Treadwell Library in August 2000, that I read in there that epilepsy is a "mutating neurological disorder", rather than a neurological disorder. However, research in recent years (which my "memory reboot" has me questioning the validity of everything I have ever said or thought, but from a positive (not negative perspective). I am wondering if "mutating neurological disorder" was placed in my brain by GOD. I say this because even my advanced research of epilepsy does not bring me to this terminology for epilepsy. And I do know for certain -- because GOD made sure during the course of my "memory reboot" GOD has made me certain of this. And I honestly did ask my psychiatrist last year or earlier this year (long before starting Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) if I was sane; in response, he tested me in conversation to prove that I was. And GOD verified it with a rebooted memory.
