Anyone With A VNS, Had A Battery Replaced?

Cause I was told that the battery in my vagal nerve stimulator is low , anyone had a battery replacement?

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I could be wrong but don't they just disconnect and replace the whole device? I know this is what happens with VNS so RNS may be different.

Hi, JessicaC2, Thanks for your support, I wondered if I would have it updated cause I have had my VNS about 8 years, I am going to see πŸ‘€ my epilepsy nurse next week, I will ask her about it, but I'm not not seeing the VNS nurse clinic till January, I hope πŸ™ you're okay and well 😊, Take care. ✝️

You’re right. I was just describing what they did when my RNS battery died. They did take out my whole RNS devise and put a new one in. I wasn’t sure what they did with the VNS so I was just describing to her the RNS procedure. They removed my VNS before its battery needed replaced.

Hi, Shannon10, thanks for your support, my VNS works every 3min I have 30 seconds stimulation, having it implanted was the best thing that helped my epilepsy. I hope πŸ™ you have a seizure free weekend, Take care.
