What Is This. A Warning? An Aura? Me Freaking Out?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My seizures are typically me being stuck in a Dejavu-like state or a dream or something, I’ve never been able to fully describe them or remember details. Anyway, before getting on a medication that has controlled the seizures last year, I would sometimes have these panicky feeling with an “I’ve been here before” feeling. When that would happen I always said I feel like I’m fighting off a seizure. This hasn’t happened to me in over a year but yesterday I had such a strong feeling that I’d been in… read more

Yea ik what you mean almost like
déjà vu?! I do the same thing through out the day before I have a seizure in the evenings or at night even though I haven’t had one in about a yr because my meds are controlling them ik what you mean ik when it would happen to me if I would tell someone I felt like I was gonna have a seizure it would take a lot of stress off of me and sometimes I would end up not having one bc everyone around me was watching me so I could relax!!!!

So are there different kind of auras for the same person? Earlier this year I had 2 separate times when I felt really weird, more physically though like tingly and a little out of body. Very minor. I thought that was an aura, just different because of my new meds. (the other kind I asked about is nothing new, just have not had it in over a year since the med change)

Thanks everyone. Well that is disappointing to hear. I’ve gone a year without this.
