Should I Seek Legal Help ?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had a few seizures at my new job and now rumor has it that they are considering having me wear a helmet around the shop? Can they do that even though i am not medically required to wear one?

Your work place doesn’t want to be responsible nor pay for medical expenses, if you were to get injured on their property or in their building.

If you really want to know for sure , you may want to get a hold of a disability law firm . The Epilepsy Foundation, might know some info also.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, there are a lot of things they can do that is perfectly legal. As long as you don't have to return to work with a note from your neurologist that your seizures are controlled. They are betting that it will take time to contact your neurologist and they have time to speak to their attorneys.

I believe they can for their safety. They want to make sure you’re safe.
