I used to take Depakote in highschool and due to that I had to avoid Alcohol (dont eorry i didnt drink until like 23) and Grapefruits(oddly specific) or a negative effect would occur. But around 21 or 22 they changed my meds again and never had to worry about it.

i have food seizures... can't have most grains (mostly wheat, rye, barley). can't do dark pop (soda-pop) or a most caffeine and enery drinks. i need to be aware of cross conamation and hidden fillers whenever i go to a restuant and grocery shopping.
on top of all that, a few meds that i used to take interfered with some foods (mostly dairy and thay made me itch or gas).
heres my take on 'food epilepsy' (yes i have a youtube channel talkin about seizure stuff).

Actually, certain medications, like Tegretol and its generic versions are an excellent example of grapefruit interfering with the work of the medications.

I don't have any food triggers or allergies, but grapefruit is one of the few fruits or vegetables that I do not like.

If you have never done so before, then read closely any warnings on your medications -- Tegretol, for example, will say avoid direct sunlight and the intake (eating or drinking) of grapefruit.

I am on some different medications that require limited or no grapefruit all together.
I must admit I cheat once in a while.
Have a blessed day
