I'm not sure. I was diagnosed just last year, but it does make me wonder if I had seizures before and just didn't recognize them.

I would hate to guess how many I've had in my lifetime. I've had some form of Epilepsy since I was 3 years old. Mine started as petit mal seizures or staring spells. If you include those with the grand mal seizures I'm guessing in the hundreds. I still have occasional staring spells, but my grand mal seizures are under control.

If I calculated right I roughly have had 493,750 seizures through out my life.

Well now that I know that I'm averaging about 1-2 per month after a long time of not knowing this it's a very good question lol.
