It depends on what you are looking for specifically. Medicaid= State benefits and Medicare = Federal benefits.
I have Medicare even though I am well under the retirement age and not deaf or blind. It's an arduous process but worth it IF you had a job and paid taxes. If you were employed the Federal govt takes a part of your net income for social security.
And if you aren't working then you are owed THAT MONEY BACK.
