Tounge Biting

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I've bitten my tongue multiple times during a seizure and although it's healed OK it's still really tender. I also seem to bite it on the side every time. What's been your experience?

Usually I’m in bed so my teeth are in a glass. Lol I do have the metal posts that are in my gums or at least one as I broke one off during an episode. Have some bottom ones though and I still bleed. My your forth be grand. Watch over your pets if you have any.

This is my exact same experience (same side of tongue). Oddly enough, I just added a picture on your other question you posted just now.

Yes I have bit it. How ever my top teeth are snap in dentures. But the post has assisted in the bite. Probably would have been worse if I had real teeth.
