Do you know the most popular/common/effective Epilepsy Medications? Based on your personal experience, which ones have worked for you?

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, there is no best epilepsy medications, most common or most effective because there are more than one type of epilepsy seizure and everyone who has epilepsy are different. So, to find the right medication for our seizures may take some trial and error. What works for one person, may cause issues for someone else. Its up to you and your doctor to work through that.

I’m on Dilantin and Oxycarbazipin. Keppra was negative with me. Thought suicide was an option. I looked at side effects and immediately quit them. They had given to at the hospital. But I don’t know when or how.

Back when i was 5 on up to my teen years i was on Dilantin and Tegeratol and it helped.

The best meds. For me Tegretol, took it 30 years! Aptiom, now Xcopri😊
