Traveling With Seizure Meds
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

What’s your method of traveling with all your meds? Do you take more than what you need? What would you do if they were stolen/lost while out of the country? Anyone ever have to deal with that?

1) Take a letter from the doctor with the medications listed, put with passport
2) check the medications are legal where you are going (China only just made clobozam legal, etc etc)
3) take 50-100% extra meds with you
4) if you run out of meds,
1) go to a hospital with the drs letter, they usually will give you a short supply of not
2) you can contact “doctors without borders” I’ve had to use them once they will sort out medicines
5) Enjoy!

I also suggest you take 2 keycards keep one at the hotel with your luggage.

Where are you going?!

Oh Italy fantastic, no problems there Yes AirTags too I guess.

But I mean money key cards for the ATM just take one on your person when outside touristing, leave one with your baggage so if anything happens you’ve got backup.

Probably a bit paranoid as Italy is safe, (apart from Naples!) but there’s those go around the waist belt band wallets that fit under pants that will give you 100% security

Enjoy!

Take them with you and don't let them out of your sight.
Ask your Neurologist to make some arrangements with your pharmacy and have them also near you where you can get to the.
Where a I.D. that explains that you are an epileptic. Who your doctor is. Also list the meds on the I.d. and who you would like to get a hold of you and paramedic if you have any seizures.

I don't know I say this because I was on vacation with my mom and she has medical marijuana. What's funny is coming off the plain the med. marijuana was in her carry on. A stranger helped us off with carry-on bags because lil difficult doing it with service dog and a couple on wheel carry-on bags. Not thinking about marijuana in the bag stranger had that was the one with it in it and he got stopped by security with the bag🤣.
