For example…events from the far past but not a couple of days ago or just a few minutes ago.

Yes I have short term memory loss much more than my long term memory. I can recall my phone # from when I was 6 yrs old like clockwork and that was 50 years ago but can barely remember last week. When I began having seizures 15 yrs ago I noticed my memory slipping and asked the dr about it and I was told that its not related to the seizures and he brushed it off. It was a relief being on different epilepsy social pages to hear memory loss is a common side effect with seizures and that I wasn’t imagining my memory was fading. Keep detailed notes on any important or just life experiences and keep the memories alive.

I never had a good short-term memory but it got a little better after they removed my left hippocampus and the right started doing both jobs.

Ye, it's a 1 on a 3 scale for me, but I'm cool with that considering my condition I have, I remember things but not like when I was younger. My opinion
