I'm waiting on getting disability. Applied last November. I have a lawyer so hopefully my case will be heard anytime. Does anyone know of any program that can help me financially. I don't have any income. The only programs they have are for people with children. Or people who are pregnant.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I noticed you said you’re in Tennessee. I’m from Texas, like ProudTX, just a different part of the state. What I wanted to suggest was this: When I was without income I applied for emergency food stamps, and found a Social Service worker who helped me get on the County Indigent Fund, for medical. I had a lawyer from the beginning of my 2year fight to get on disability. During that time I was staying with family. You mentioned your with friends, so that is a positive. My Social Worker helped me by informing me to contact my local Housing Authority and I qualified for housing without income. I’m not sure how things work in Tennessee, but you might give those things a try. You may also quantify for help with utilities cost. Try the food Banks nearest you as well. They also may be able to help you find clothing or a Salvation Army store for help. Just some ideas of what could be available. Hope all is going well for you and your in my prayers.

FYI If you have applied before and were denied, sometimes, at least we me, they paid it from the first time I applied. Good luck and I hope you are doing well
