Has anyone been in a situation where they have been having problems with their employer already in relation to your epilepsy, and now pregnant and also having that used against you too?

i can give you adviceand my experience of discrimination (you have been too) and went through thee longest most unnecessarily drawn out employment tribunal claim a my employer was trying to get me to brakdowwn and give up but for 3 years that deestroyed me mentally i never once ever thoought to allow them to get aay with hhow bad i had been treated. iim an accountant and it all started in the last 6 months when i knew they wanted to get rid of me,,,because i was off for several wweekd recovering from a 3rd degree bbburn that i had a skin graft for wwhich happened when i had a seizire on my hair straighteners and basically was blamed for the companie backlog even though it wasalready huge, said i needed to show more empathy to my colleaguess for coveringg my work and said i even deliberately burnt myself so i could get more time off. the main reason they were pissed was becaause i was in charge of giving a talk each week my boss but he wasjust a lazy man. i got dismissed because they said id committed grosss misconduct for breaching the trut and confidence,

aaaanyway i won 5 different types of disability discrimination and multiple different claim under each type wrogful nand unfair dismisssal

if you think you are being duscriminated against get advice ideallya lawyer otherwise citizen advice give great free advice and NEVER give up no matter how bathey try to break you don;t give in they need to be reminded that they can't treat you like this and realise there are consequences

any other info you need help with drop me a message xxx

Yes you are covered in many aspects (Law) Equality act 2010 which is a recognised and enshrined in UK law. I had problems with a aggressive bully, maybe send a email include human resources in the email, include LAW and towards the end of the email note " i trust this matter is resolved and no futher action will need to be taken " ( A POLITE WAY OF INFORMING H.R IF THEY DONT DO THEIR JOB HIS BOSS WILL BE INFORMED.... AND SO ON. my situation ended shortly after everyone was up-to-speed. Depends how harsh you want the email and whats involved mine included Intimidation, harassment and causing me great alarm and a detriment to my health, you also have the fact you're pregnant HOW DARE THEY. Also at a later date and after talking to a epilepsy nurse she said if they was informed they would of directly phoned them up (something you may want to consider). Either way YOU have the LAW on YOUR side. What i did learn is that if i didnt do anything, it would of continued as they only recognised LAW when stated clearly the Equality act 2010 which covers many aspects.

Epilepsy is a physical, long-term condition. People with epilepsy are protected under the Equality Act even if their seizures are controlled or if they don’t consider themselves to be ‘disabled’.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member it’s management that are making my life difficult 😞. They aren’t helpful or supportive in any way when it comes to my epilepsy and now I’m pregnant too, I feel even less secure in my job. They aren’t advertising my role for maternity cover and are planning to take on a permanent full time member of staff
