It's extremely difficult to find a neurologist that's familiar with epilepsy and associated treatment. When I first developed epilepsy when I was 38 it took me two years and four doctors before they found out why I had gran mal seizures.
It's more difficult for veterans who depend on the VA for medical issues. The VA goes thru doctors quickly because of low pay and heavy workload. My next appointment to see an epilepsy specialist came with a six month wait.
Thank you haven’t heard of that.
Oxtellar XR 600mg would be an option for a nighttime epilepsy medication. It’s worked for me. But then again, everyone’s different.
Sorry I meant to say Keppra it was working fine for quite awhile but my doctor said it wasn’t enough…I’m supposed to take 1000 mg but I’m taking 750 now with no problems…these doctors don’t have to experience all the side effects 🤷♀️
It depends 500mgs if what Ned you are talking about. I take 800mg of Tegretol and it still does not do the trick to preventing my nocturnal seizures.
