I wasn’t afraid to have surgery for my seizures. I’ve actually had 3 surgeries. I had a deep brain stimulation, vagus nerve stimulator and Neurostimulator (RNS). I healed.

I’ve been contemplating it for a while since I’ve tried almost every medication & still have seizures that make me unable to drive or work so I have to be on disability. I just still am nervous & want to learn more & hear more about cases of it working great for people!

After trying all avenues of treatment, I was faced with either having surgery or allowing the seizures to get worse. Though a difficult decision, I knew that surgery was the best option. I am so thankful I had the surgery done. I had a right frontal lobection done in May to remove the 2.5 inch area that my seizures were starting in. I have not had a seizure in 6 months! Before surgery, I would have a seizure every 7 to 10 days, so needless to say this has been life-changing. I think if you are curious about it, talk to your doctors. They may suggest that you go through the testing to see if you are a candidate for a procedure. I wish you all the best in your journey!

Yes. But just keep in mind. It’s not always the answer! I had surgery 2x….. didn’t help! I finally had a VNS and that did the trick!
