Pins And Needles
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m not sure wether it’s an epilepsy related thing but I only get pins and needles in 1 side of my body and it’s on my right side mainly on my foot and I’m not sure wether it’s a seizure or not.. as I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t have this feeling when I have a seizure when I have 1 when I have them when I’m awake (if I’m awake, I’ll raise my hand like I need help, then I fall back) so I don’t know if I’m having another symptom/side effect of having a seizure it would last a minute-2 minutes

Go to a neurologist to make sure that you are having seizures they will deal with it by giving you medication to stop the seizures

Yes l also get pins and needles sensation on the right side of my head this is usually my Aura before my actual seizure begins which is a good warning sign for me, my right hand also always begins to shake aswell and l become light headed to and l just kinda feel strange it can lead to my mouth kinda like chewing as if l was eating food then usually the seizure begins after that.

I never got Pins and Needles from a seizure. But I do get it , from sitting on my feet too long ( just one example ). Never had to do with my Epilepsy nor seizures.

I do now and then loose my balance when waking up and stretching my arms out while standing and falling back. My balance is bad when I’m starting to wake up. That has to do with my Epilepsy.
