Ok I know this sounds more like something for dear Abby but...I have 2 children ages 12 and 9. My husband has been threatening to leave since we got married. (11 years ago) He says he could do better. He should've left a long time ago. I'm the reason he has no friends. Umm... the only thing my children are going to remember of me is how much I sleep (Combo of working full time and tons of meds). Etc. He has said if we get divorced he'd take full custody of the kids because I have epilepsy so I'm… read more
A real man would love ya regardless thats part of wat sickness and health means in ya vows aint it
Your are a beautiful women and deserve a better person in your life that is not ignorant to what is epilepsy !!!!!!!
I had a successful marriage for 20 years widow with my epilepsy even though its not 100 % controlled it made no difference we just took care of each more no body is perfect. His reaction to you and his friends have to do with them not you ? They have issues with themselves. If he leaves great !!!!! open the door for someone else and yes your fit to take of your children.
No advice but i’ve had people leave me due to my epilepsy before, i cant imagine with kids either how hard it must feel. Nobody understands until its actually them, my heart goes out to you my love.
I have never been married, thus cannot provide advice but rather questions that might be useful -- some of which are even to to ask him.
1. If your husband has been threatening for 11 years, then did he not leave way back then because you had the first child?
2. Did your husband ever have the Jekyll and Mr. Hyde times before you were married? Does he even know that he does this or is it actually a mental condition (which there absolutely are that can caused this).
3. Does any other member of his family also have this?
4. Is he drinking a lot of alcohol or using medication.
5. Did you ever hide from your husband before you were married that you had epilepsy?
NOTE: Also a factor is that just like we lose some friends when they know we have epilepsy, then he could have lost joint friends and business friends because of their reaction to the word "epilepsy" -- depending upon if any of them have seen you?
6. What types of seizures do you have and how often? And how often is he the one helping you as it happens?
I mean I can’t say leave when there are kids involved, but you can fight for custody. He can’t do all that so easily you are the mother. My boyfriend of 9 years walked away because I can’t go out constantly and travel. Why stay 9 years? He knew about my epilepsy before he asked me out 🙄
Your husband can do better erm… then he can go and try do better 😂 he is talking nonsense you are beautiful if he could do better he would’ve long time ago. These men forget that this can happen to them. I think you need peace and rest and someone like that is just adding more stress.
