I take Calcium and Vitamin D for Osteoperosis. I think overdoing anything is not good.

Yeah me too, vitamin D does help, you can also get natural vitamin D from the sunshine if you can find some. We have a heat wave at the moment so there is almost too much if that's possible.

Vitamin D3 is good for the body and blood. We don’t get nearly enough. We get more during the summer cause we are outside more and the sun provides us with D. I have a Dr that orders me vitamin blood work every year. My list of supplements are not as extensive as they had been. It may be worth asking your Dr to check your vitamin levels, they took 16 tubes. I told the lady that I didn’t know I was donating a pint of blood…lol

I even have a supplement that helps support brain health. He explicitly told me that it would not cure my seizures but would help to keep it healthy. I’ll see if I can figure out which one it is and let you know

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I’ve taken a Multi-Vitamin for years which has some Vitamin D in it. Around 2017 I had my first first visit with my new Neurologist & he asked if I was aware that long term use of Depakote could possibly cause Osteoporosis & I said no & so he had me do a bone density test & that showed I have Osteopenia in my left hip & neck & he recommended I take Vitamin D & my current Neurologist has me taking the Vitamin D also. At one time I was taking my Multi-Vitamin & a Vitamin D pill & I think my Neurologist said I was taking to much Vitamin D & so now I just take the Multi-Vitamin, sometimes every other day or maybe a couple days in a row. Your friend in Texas, Becky
