Youβre welcome, @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member .
Have a good Thanksgiving Thursday.
Shaking and jerking can be a symptom to a Tonic Clonic. Then again there are other seizure types, that have s similar symptoms. Tonic Clonics have big convulsions, while shaking and jerking.
Thank you, you are awesome. Thats exactly what I do! Its a little scary. The keppra was working for a long time and then it seemed I had adjusted to it and the seizures came back. So frustrating. Im so glad you can relate (while I'm still very sorry that you have to go through it too) its a bummer, right?
When I first was diagnosed with epilepsy I had flashing coloured lights as an aura. It could be very scary for a child.
Since then I've had the trigger in my occipital lobe removed. It was very successful.π
I do still have seizures, but they originate from other trigger points that can not be removed safely.π€
Instead of having the bright colour aura during every seizure (3-5/month); I only have them once every 3-4 months.
I black out, I lose my vision and lose control of my muscles and I start to see shadows. Its really weird its the onset of me going down. But I start hearing things too. I'm sorry you struggle with this too. I try to sit down, I hope you have a better day.
