I think not being open about your condition is a diservice to you.
I personally rather let people know I have seizures so that way they don't freak out and call the ambulance you can also educate them if they are willing to know about it.

I did at first but I rather tell people than have a sezure and people or friends panic if you tell people they can help if you have a sezure just my thinking

That will go away over time, I've been epileptic for 40 years now the embarrassment of having a seizure in public never really goes away.

One should not be afraid of a disability that you have.
You'll find out then if a person will except you and epilepsy by learning about it and how it affects you and what to do if you have a problem. You will or can start a lasting friendship with that person.
Others that you try to explain will simply disappear by ether walking away or start to exclude you from their activities.
People like that you don't need.
Be yourself stay positive were purple
Have a blessed night

I use to when I was very young kept it a secret , now I don't care wear a medical bracelet . I inform those around me if they ask why I don't drive , some individuals are just ignorant to what is Epilepsy and classify in one lump. Many individuals keep under wraps for many years especially if it's under control. If you don't have it under control a day will come when you will have an episode the secrets out.
