Most Epileptologists tell their new patients to keep away from Alcohol and Caffeine, if you don’t want to seizure.
I'm sorry you went through that but I'm glad you're OK.
I think one or all tree of those things could've triggered your episode.
If your treatment is stable... don't change or mess with it!!!
Try to consider "sleep and food" as part of your medication treatment... they're not wants they're needs.
I know if I don't get enough sleep I'm in a huge fog for at least a day.
Medication should almost NEVER be taken on an empty stomach.
If you don't have time for full meals... try smaller meals more often. I tried that years ago and it worked really well for me.
Instead of 3 larger meals... have 6 small ones. Note: just make sure you keep them small so you're not doubling your calorie intake by accident.
Take Care.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member yes i know how that is with breaks and bartending. I hope things get better. Would be nice if they let you have dibs on break to help you
There are multiple bartenders but we have times when we are busy and for my shift breaks can be taken 430-530 then no breaks can be taken til after 8 the "seniority bartender gets his first. And sometimes he doesn't go until five meaning he gets back at 5:30 and no one else can take a break till after 8:00 it's kind of stupid but that's how it is because of the certain times because we get busy.
