Does anyone else have a severe allergy to a seizure medication? I am allergic to Lorazepam (Ativan) which is a very common med they give at hospitals to stop seizures
This past April I went in for a seizure and was actively in one. The doctor yelled for Ativan and my friend immediately stopped him and informed him of my allergy. I have a medical ID bracelet if that’s what you mean. It has my allergies and emergency contacts

I am acutely allergic to Dilantin and spiked a fever above 104* the only time it was used. Do you have a MedicAlert ID? They’re nationwide alert system that all emergency response people know to look for to get a medical history. Look online for them to see more. I’m so sorry for your experience, but I know my saying that doesn’t help. You know you’ve come to the right place to get support though… best wishes to you for a seizure free night!
