No, although when you focus on what you can’t do rather than those that God has allowed you to do you can sink into depression. Remember God doesn’t give you anything that you can’t handle. When you get negative thoughts, turn to God
As far medication never ever try to do anything without monitoring from your dr. It can more problems with seizures. Also epilepsy is it's own disease it cannot and should not be compared to another illness such as depression. They must be treated separately. My neurologist has never prescribed my medication for depression. And when I was diagnosed with breast cancer my surgeon didn't treat me for those other diseases.
When I went from Brand Name to Generic, my Doctor had blood levels drawn before and after. When starting to take a new drug, they always started with a low dose. When tapering off, you also need to do so gradually. It took a good while to where I am. Now on the Epidiolex I am controlled. They think I am having small seizures during the day I cannot remember. The EEG Cap only found 5-8 second events while asleep. That is good.

When you are taking care of yourself you think
That certain might
Working with the other meds a person takes might
Take one off and try to get another meds to work with the other meds that might work better and the mg
Of Dr will want try new med that will help with the other meds that works than the other meds try slowly and getting better results
I find that I get mildly depressed then I turn to God and my church family and I have to say that is the best help in the world
