Does Anyone Experience Paralysis?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I get odd moments of paralysis I find my symptoms very strange , like this morning my legs and arms would go in odd positions and then I can't stand completely straight and just bend down at this point I'm forced to go to the ground and the top half of my body is paralysed then it continues to my whole body so I just lay there till it passes I know paralysis happens after a seizure but does it happen before one 🤔.

This happens to alot of epileptics, I am usually unconscious during my seizures but if you have seizures while semi concious I guess you would be more aware of your body going into paralysis. It is very scary and I hope you are ok, again though, compacted stress can induce these things.

Yeah it's not fun that's for sure, but luckily I felt it coming on - I think I have been fighting a sinus infection for the past few weeks and that can lower your threshold for a seizure, from what I have heard.

I have the same thing. It’s my lower body. Sometimes it it takes a long time to get feeling back. Everyday I get everything I need as soon as I wake up. Water, coffee, unlock the door in case I need a 911 call. I’ve had to crawl on the floor and lift my body up whitch is not easy also. My arms also do shake when try to get up.
