I get tired of the drs asking me to tell them how my seizures and epilepsy are when I am awake and I am going through them and all. I finally told the last dr look if I knew what and how to treat my own self I surely would not be paying you 10 thousand dollars for you to do thre job for me now go do your job. The dr was like I don't know what you want from me I told him go look up on computer for meds I am not allergic to and start there. Ty. For listening to me complain
All the time with my neurologist. Ive had him up my does during a virtual visit with no increased number of seizures but i try to be respectful and let him do his job. Trust is hard for me.
Charlene, If the dr makes you that angry, I hope you can change drs. Although drs have to be intelligent to make it through medical school, that does not make them competent. Also, that does not make them a good fit for you. Fire them find another if you can. Ask them to explain (sometimes again) if you don't understand something. As you said, they get paid big bucks so they need to earn it You deserve the best care!
I had a nurse checking up on me once a week. They were concerned about my Dosage Level for the Epidiolex. I had asked them to write out what I was taking etc. They did so in a very confusing manner. I then asked the Doctors at Yale to write it up correctly. I could then show it to the Nurse.
Maybe the Doctors or someone thought I was confused about Dosages etc. Eventually the Nurse called my Pharmacy and told them I needed my meds to be put in Bubble Packs by the Pharmacy. They would do that, but it is not needed.
One was concerned I was having small seizures during the day, so brought up some kind of Surgery. A while later I told the Epileptologist about what she said. I was told by the Dr. if I was not having seizures that would not be needed. When I wore an EEG cap for 72 hours or whatever, they only saw 5-8 second events when I was asleep. I had a very bad seizure Saturday. It was extremely hot, and that is a trigger. Also, I drank a great deal of water. Urinating is another issue.
I will see the Neurologist in late September, I think.

Actually drinking to much liquid can make meds not work well because u pee out meds faster
