Medicine Stops Helping After A While?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been on vimpat for years n it was prob 4-5 seizures a month. Then start epidiolex and that helped my mind calmed down during the day so i have mostly nocturnal after that. It also helped anxiety and reduce depression. But now seizures every week day and night seizures. Does medicine stop working after a while?

Throughout life I seemed to go longer without a seizure once they put me on a new medication. After awhile I guess I got used to those meds and I would start having seizures on a regular basis again.

My medication stopped working! I'm dealing with everything without meds! It sucks but I'm doing what I have to do, I've had to street drugs to help me with my health!! My Dr knows about the street drugs that I have done!! But I haven't been able to talk or see him since my meds were recalled and it's been a few months without them!! I want something that will help, without having to change anything or going on a different medication because it didn't help or it help but not for a long period of time!!
