Vehicles Recommended For Epilepsy
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Are there any vehicles that are recommended for someone that has epilepsy? This is for someone that is cleared to drive, but is obviously still at risk. For example having an aura and you may slightly lose control for a moment and it can guide you or slow down.

We have a 2018 Subaru Outback with these controls. It detects cars, people and lanes and will slam on the brakes if it thinks you are going to hit any of these. It is really safe!

Check into the Hyundai Elantra. When on the highway it detects the lines on the road and keeps the car between them. If you go get over without using your blinker it let's you know with a noise.
If you have cruise control on & are getting to close to a car in front of you the car slows down and won't get closer than 3 car lengths. So if the car ahead of you comes to a stop your car will stop too.
I feel safe driving this car. I honestly feel like this is the best car I could be on if I had a seizure while driving.
It's also half battery half gas. Awesome milage!

I drove our new forster the yother day . I felt like I felt safe but not like the car was overly sensitive to my driving. If that makes any sense.

As far as I know the safety features work unless they are specifically disabled for some reason
