@ThereaSchreieck , The Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) didn’t approve the the DBS for Epilepsy, until 2018. But, the DBS was around, over here, since 1997 for Parkinson’s disease. I’ve have waited for 4yrs to have this done. My Epileptologist brought it up to me when the FDA was still approving it.

I have FocalSeizures .

1. Simple Focal seizures
2. Complex Focal Seizures
3. Secondary Generalized seizure

I have the second type .

I had a right temporal lobectomy, they put me on Keppra just after too and I was 6 years stable so I can’t really say for sure if it was the surgery or the meds, what I do know is that my memory is shot and I’ve lost part of my left peripheral vision, I don’t have tonic clonic seizures like I did before surgery so it’s possible it has changed them and caused them to be less severe.
