Are There Any Rescue AED's That Are Not Related To Diazepam?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question đź’

I break out in Rash with diazepam. Are there any other options? I noticed that most or all are based in Diazepam.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member,
Thank you. I just wish that there was a place here to go to without having to travel so far.

There is Ativan and Lorazepam. I use oral Lorazepam, for recovery meds.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , you’re right Ativan and Lorazepam are the same. One is a brand name and one is the generic . That’s why I mentioned them in my message.. I also know that there are many other brands.

I’m sorry hear your experience in the ambulance and how bad the Dr.s and hospitals are in your area

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member,
The last time I was given Ativan I was in an ambulance and then they readministered it at the ER. The EMT reported to the ER Dr on call that I was not responding to the Ativan. I don’t know what the ER doctor did, but when I finally came to, The ER doctor said that I did it did not work even after They gave me more. They said they basically had to wait for me to “calm down”. And then asked me when my next neurologist appointment was. Then they shipped me off to another town that had an actual Neurologist, that was not mine. So much involved. I hate where I live, I hate the doctors here, and they called themselves a hospital. It is not a hospital where I live, it is a joke that looks like a Hospital. They treat a head cold by saying “oh you’ve got a stomachache”.
Major exaggeration here by the way, but that’s basically the way they work here. In my opinion where I live there are no doctors.
