A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My question is how many of you experience twitches and body tremors in different parts of your body and how common is it to get them

I know for a fact that getting to hot or over heating an getting short off breath which is because you get low in oxygen can cause seizures

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Has your neurologist told you that these heavy twitches in your back and neck are tremors? Or did your neurologist tell you that these are a form of partial seizure?

I have full general seizures, and I have simple partial and complex partial seizures. However, I have tremors in my arms (identified to me by the head neurologist when I was in EEG Long Term Monitoring at Brigham and Women's Hospital last October. Before that, I only noticed them when I was trimming my fingernails (for some years now), and I had no idea what it was. However, my tremors are from my epilepsy but are not connected to any of the seizures. They are hardly noticeable (unless doing something where I need to keep my hands still) unless my stress level goes up and with it the intensity of the tremors as well.
A week or so after I was released from EEG Long Term Monitoring I was having some so bad that I would drop my cellphone from my hand. And at other times I could not print. I had to have the secretary at my primary care doctor's office fill out the paperwork for me, and I signed it as best as I could (not close to my normal signature) to fax Brigham and Women's Hospital to have a copy of my vitals from the 7 days while I was in EEG Long Term Monitoring sent to my doctor.

Take deep breath when you feel funny it gets your oxygen levels up which can help stop the attacks i told a specialist he said being low off of oxygen in your blood can cause them an if you take deep breaths in cold air the more you can get because cold air has more oxygen in it

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , yes we have seen a doctor about.. the D. Just said it’s not anything serious to worry about.. it happens to many people.. it doesn’t matter if it’s in my own bed . It has happened on other bed and so , the couch , when stretching out the full length of it.
