My condolences, truly. I have simple partials. So I live a normal life but I have have upwards of 10 seizures a day. But I'm never at risk of breaking my face!
One thing I did to help get me into a place of true appreciation and understanding, I poured myself into this site. I spent hours. Reading peoples stories and struggles. Learning more about other types of epilepsy. All of a sudden you know what. 10 seizures a day, blows. But I don't have worry about drowning when I take a shower, I don't have to live with my parents when I'm in 30s, and I don't struggle with relationships because women don't want to deal with my epilepsy.
The mental health side of this disease disorder whatever you want to call is far more taxing than most people can imagine.
Ultimately if you really need someone to talk on a much deeper level there is 0 shame in talking to a professional. 0 shame! For everything else we are here. We understand more than probably every therapist out there.

Read as many of other people's stories that you can. You find plenty of things to be greatful for. I understand breaking your face is hard. But when you realize that there are people out there that have almost died multiple times. Or have 5 GTCs a day and can't be controlled by meds. You start getting pretty thankful it's only 1 a year.
It really to really understand how good I had it.

My seizures average 1 every 6 days the longest I've ever gone without having one was 3 months. After that I had 10 in one day and was in the hospital for 5 days. Everyone is affected differently by their seizures and as in my case I have to just live with it, mine will never be 100% controlled

Danny colon, I have temporal lobe epilepsy. I have 3-4 seizures a month! I feel if you change your thoughts it will make a huge difference. Think of positive things in your life, you can do it!
