Wondering What (HCC) Or Maybe It’s (HHC) Means Written In () After Your Diagnosis (& No, I Don’t Have Cancer); Saw That When I Googled It
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

It’s written after my official epilepsy diagnosis on Cleveland Clinic’s MyChart. Is it just a way for neurologist to get more $ each time I’m seen? Might it help me apply for disability, or no? After not being able to work since 2017, finally thinking about applying… I’m getting worse not better, unfortunately. Thanks for any clarification!!

(HHC) is a CBD type, Delta-8 level medicinal use marijuana substitute.

(HCC) is Hepatocellular carcinoma - the most common type of primary liver cancer caused by hepatitis B or hepatitis C infection.

I have been receiving Disability for the past 5 yrs because since 2016 My seizures are not under control and I struggle at least twice a month with episodes. Because my career required a license and the permission to work with youth without the worry of going into an episode on site the YMCA had to terminate me, I do still house sit, dog sit in order to receive medical benefits from the working disabled program, in which you need to make at least $20 and my premium is the same amount. definitely a useful program,. Do not hesitate to reach out to your county or the federal government and ask them about your options, they are usually busy but once you get through they are very helpful. Try and have a good weekend. Stay smiling.

I have seen that too on MyChart and wondered. You made me start investigating. I would do your own. Talk to your doctor, if you get no answers, talk to another one!
