My doctor did a 3 day in home EEG test in which he took me off all my meds after I starting having many seizures on a daily basis. In doing so the test results showed not only was I having epileptic seizures. I was having pseudo seizures which come from stress and anxiety. And pseudo seizures are non epileptic.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member don't think of what I said light. If anything it's a miracle and I hope for it to continue well. As I said to people in your life sometimes you never know what will happen next.

When I had seizures I would always pass out. A few years ago my seizures started to change. I no longer passed out all the time. Due to age, a change in hormones was considered to be the reason for the cause. The epileptoligist sent me to the EMU to investigate. Upon the stay the doctor said that although it acted the same it did not read on the machine like my others had. He said it was rare to have both but possible. Then he asked me if my life had changed somehow to possibly have lowered my threshold. (it had)
I left understanding that It was time to tend to my health and wellness. Having a low threshhold requires a good wellness as well as the meds.I had been taking care of my seizures with meds but not my life with welness and it was catching up to me. It's why I began using the fitbit, natural supplements, diet, changing my meds and excersize. I havn't had another episode like those since.
(know it's back to the regular seizures alone. LOL !)

A person I know is not an epileptic. He has a seizure once in a great while fainting because of kidney and ulcer issues. At times the kidney failure like plugging up may act up and then he would faint going into a seizure. It has nothing to do with the brain. 🧠

Some people after getting epilepsy instently are diagnosed with a psychological disorder

PTSD, anxiety, depression

Non epileptic can be caused by fear of an actual one
