A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

What (if any)/are your experiences with detox teas. I want to purchase one but i dont want to have an episode. I will be able to eat and i just need to drink it once a day (not everyday) .

Make sure you drink plenty of water. I tried the detox teas and I wasn’t drinking water like I was suppose to. I ended up having a seizure. Please be careful!!

If it's like a regular tea but helps for weight etc. then you should be find. I checked with my Dr. or the secretary when I was starting apple cider vinegar on weekdays to help with weight lose.

The only tea that I drink and it's good for the body, is Lipton green tea. I don't trust a detox tea.

Make sure you consume enough water. A lot of detox teas rely on causing diarrhea as well as dehydrate people.
