I'm changing doctors and heading to a huge neuro center. I'd like to know some meds, what type of seizure, side effects, dosages etc?
I'm struggling to get my seizures under control and I'd like to have a idea when I get there what meds are good and bad???
I'm on Keppra & fortunate enough not to experience bad side effects.Im also on lamictal & clobazam Like you ,I'm changing specialists They're moving all the services locally ,suits me better anyway. As Randy says ,what works for some doesn't work for others. In the 43 years since diagnosis my seizures have changed in type & frequency I've been on many meds ,sadly aged 64,my partial seizures aren't controlled I hope you find a medication combo that works for you x
It’s hard to say . Everyone’s body chemistry is different. It also depends on what type of epilepsy and seizures you have. Most of the time, the Dr. will put you on medications, that best fits your seizures.
One medication that I hear from many people on this site, that change their personality or emotions, though side effects is Keppra. I myself am on Keppra. But, I’m on the lucky side and never experienced that side effect.
